SOLD: 1961 Vespa 150 For Sale $3300
This scooter has sold, thanks for looking.

This beautiful, original Vespa 150 (VBB) is for sale in Oakland, California. The scooter is a steel blue with original paint. The slight scratches and imperfections are character that come with being an original vintage scooter. I have always preferred well cared for original scooters over restorations. This scooter is a perfect example of that.

I bought this scooter in 1996 from First Kick in San Francisco. They had rebuilt the engine. Originally, it was for my wife to ride, but she always preferred to ride on the back of either my GS or P. Now, it is time to turn this scooter into a college fund for my daughter.

The engine starts on between the first and third kick every time. Since I haven't ridden much since my daughter was born, I make it a point to ride a few miles every month to keep the seals fresh and to give the scooter "exercise". The engine has 4400 miles on it and about 800 of those are since First Kick rebuilt it.

With this scooter, I will supply one quart of Bel Ray SI7 Synthetic 2 Stroke Oil. I have always cared for this scooter, with regular tune-ups at First Kick (before child) and used the highest quality oil and spark plugs. The scooter has been kept under a cover in a garage its whole life (the owner before me too).

This scooter is not fast but is quick. It is completely stock with original parts other than those replaced by First Kick. I was able to ride all over San Francisco on it, but probably couldn't carry two people up the steepest hills. Still, it kept up with traffic and is very nimble and an excellent commuter vehicle.

It is very stylish. Why ride a new scooter that is trying to look like a vintage scooter when you can have the real thing?
